On the 2nd day of Christmas
My true love gave to me
Flatware Trays — the source of great annoyance or great joy.
Flatware Trays can be incredibly annoying for 1 of 2 reasons:
- They’re not aeshetically pleasing — they’re made of plastic or metal, and don’t match the inside of your kitchen drawer, which is typically made of wood or wood-based materials
- They don’t fit — and therefore slide around every time you open and close your drawer throughout the day
But hope is on the way!
First, opt for a more sustainable option. When it comes to flatware trays, we opt toward wood options only — think bamboo or acacia wood.
Second, we live and breathe by the motto — Measure Twice, Buy Once. This does require you to measure your kitchen drawer (width, height and depth) but do NOT skip this step. Save yourself the frustration and returns down the road by whipping out your tape measure and getting to work.
Once you know your drawer dimensions, it’s time to find it’s match made in heaven.
Below you will see both fixed width (13″) and adjustable width (13.5″ – 20″) options. If you have a natural wood drawer, opt for the natural flatware tray. If you have a white drawer, opt for white.

Now that you have the perfect fit, it’s time to make it stay in place.
Introducing Museum Gel – the thing you didn’t know you needed in life. Think miracle solution without ruining your drawers. Create pea-sized balls, place them on each corner of your flatware tray, and insert it into your drawer. (Pro Tip: Use this for ANY drawer organizer in the house – kitchen, office, bathroom, etc.)
Sit back and watch your flatware tray stay in place every time you open and close your drawer.
It’s the little things in life!
